A self-explanatory C90 compilation tape of golden moments from the catalogues of Stax and Atlantic. Sweet Soul Man was adapted from a Sam Cooke song called Yeah, Man and was turned by Arthur Conley and Otis Redding into a tribute to soul music. Several artists name-checked in the song follow on the tape, but not James Brown as he did not record for those labels
